Eastleigh Borough and Romsey MENCAP Society is the local society for people who live within the Eastleigh Borough and in Romsey. We run a number of activities in the region aimed at supporting people with learning disabilities who live with their families, in supported housing or independently.
We organise a range of activities, please click on the links to find out more.
The Society is run by volunteers and employs six members of staff.
Michelle Bonnel is employed as our Development Officer to identify the needs of local people with learning difficulties. She designs projects and activities to meet the needs identified and monitors and evaluates their effectiveness. Her role also requires her to obtain funding for EBR MENCAP and to represent the Society at a variety of different meetings to ensure that the needs of local people with learning disabilities are kept at the forefront of thinking in Hampshire Adult Services.
Membership is £12.00 per year. This entitles you to receive a regular copy of our newsletter, Newsflash, either by email or post. Our members receive news of all new projects and opportunities and therefore have the first opportunity to access our services and to snap up places on our projects.
We are always looking for enthusiastic people to help us run the society. Please click on How you can help for current opportunities or contact Michelle Bonnel (Development Officer) 023 8048 3471.
