Why Volunteer with Eastleigh Borough and Romsey Mencap?
Volunteers are hugely important to us. If you have any extra time, you are more than welcome to join our team. Without volunteers, we would not be able to provide the majority of our support services or manage successful fundraising events. You will make a real difference and take pride in knowing that you have contributed to the development and lives of adults with learning disabilities.
How you can help?
The programmes and services we provide change from time to time, but we are always happy to hear from you if you can help. This could be an hour or two a week supporting our clubs, setting up and clearing down equipment and materials, helping people to follow instructions, and to join in. You may have skills or experience such as fund raising, social media, or administration that would help us.
Although personal or professional experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities would be helpful, it is not essential for most of our volunteering roles. We would welcome anyone with an interest and enthusiasm for supporting our members.
